140217: Deep Performance

This week will be a strength/skill “testing” week if you will in some aspects. I want to let yall test a couple lifts and such before we are 100% Open oriented.

Strength and Skill:
A) Snatch: 60/3, 70/2, 75/2, 80/1, 85/1, 90-100+/1*4sets, 2 misses allowed, rest as needed

Rest 2 min immediately complete part B:

B) EMOM x 4 min: 12 C2B Pullups + Max Reps Snatch @ 70% of max from the day
*score = total snatch reps

C) BS: 70/5, 75/5, 85/5×3 sets, rest 90 sec

Conditioning:
AMRAP in 8min:
10 HR Pushups
12 Double DB Thrusters (40/25)
15 T2B

  1. first day back to upper body in three weeks after letting my shoulders heal up.

    A) based off 70kg then hit a 5kg PR at 75kg to finish, 1 miss on 70 then 1 miss on 75 before hitting

    B)did the C2B then 5 OH Squat each round so as to limit the stress on the shoulders a little as I work back in.

    C)did session 1 of week 3 of the Front squat/ Back squat program–
    4-8 at 97KG

    *Spencer I spoke to you about this sub but have one more question. I have been doing the 3 sessions of each week on Monday/Wednesday/Friday while I rehabbed. I planned on continuing that as I work back in but if you have squats on Tuesday and Saturday should I do them or hold off and just stick to the Front/Back program

    Conditioning: 6 rds. Did thrusters @25 to be a little easier on shoulders

    A) 125 (-5 from old pr)
    B) This was awful! Was going to do as many as I could in 45 seconds but didn’t stick to plan. Got 12,10,6,8, and 5 snatches (3,1,1,0). Went over the minute on the 2nd set to get 1 snatch. Needless to say, not happy (and done with excuses).
    C) done off 220

  4. Spencer you missed out on a fun wod Saturday…not

    Strength/Skill
    A) 65kg, 76kg, 82kg, 87kg, 93kg, 98kg, 104kg, 2 misses at 109kg
    B) 7 snatches – 3, 2, 1, 1
    C) based off 350

    Conditioning – different wod due to time

  5. A) 105 (-10 from previous pr)
    B) 0
    C) 125, 135.. 145, 150, 150
    Conditioning: 3 + 19
    (need to get more efficient in t2b, and in B need to get more efficient on c2b)

  6. A. Got to 195. 5 below my pr. Tried for. 205 and missed all, but missed trying to stand under it, so still felt good about a few tweaks making it happen.
    B. 6 snatches, all ugly at 135. Had rings only so tried for 10 c2r pus each time and got it on most.
    C. Based off of 345. Done

    Conditioning: Subbed the 12 thrusters for 20 wall balls as I didnt have dumbells.
    4 rds + 3 hrpu

    Is faith rx’d still happening this weekend?

  7. Been following a week behind. Skipped to this week since open is coming up and want to get on schedule.

    D) 4+2 hr push-up @40 lbs dumbells

    A) Snatch: Got 215.

    B) EMOM x 4 min: 2 in first. Didn’t complete c2b on rest.

    C) BS: 285,305,345

    Conditioning:
    2 + 26 reps. Felt like crap, couldn’t get going.

    A) Snatch: 60/3, 70/2, 75/2, 80/1, 85/1, 90-100+/1*4sets, 2 misses allowed, rest as needed, snatched up to 205, missed 215 twice. Previous best was 220

    Rest 2 min immediately complete part B:

    B) EMOM x 4 min: 12 C2B Pullups + Max Reps Snatch @ 70% of max from the day
    *score = 8 snatches, 7 in 1st round and 1 in round 2, last round I only got 9 C2B

    C) BS: 70/5, 75/5, 85/5×3 sets, rest 90 sec, = 295, 315, 355 no misses

    Conditioning:
    AMRAP in 8min:
    10 HR Pushups
    12 Double DB Thrusters (40/25)
    15 T2B

    = 3 rounds, + 10 Push ups, 12 Thrusters@45#s and 3 T2B(25 reps)

  10. STRENGTH/SKILL
    A) 200 (no misses until 207, PB is 206. Failed 207,205,207, felt good but caught in front)
    B) 8 snatches (7,1,0,0 – only 9 C2B last set, need to work more on butterfly c2b)
    C) Off of 330

    CONDITIONING
    3 rds +29

  11. Strength
    A) 115, 135, 140, 150, 165, 175, 180, 190 failed ended 5# less than my PR but never tried 185

    B) 10 … 6, 4, 0, 0 this was crazy… Round two I got my 12 c2b in 34 seconds got 4 snatches is… Rd 3 I couldnt get my kip together… Took me the full minute and right into rd 4 with no rest from pull ups.

    C) 210, 225, 255

    Conditioning
    4 rounds even

  12. Hey E,

    195# today (vid attached). Still struggling with footwork but the drills are helping. The issues seem to be showing up at higher weights than usual but I’m frustrated with my lack of progress.

    C2B are still troubling, perhaps you have some ideas (vid attached)

  13. Skipped, conditioning today, 3 days after getting wisdom teeth out, just getting back into things. Also got talked into too many attempts at a PR that wasn’t quite there today, needed to be more disciplined
    Strength:
    A) over 90%: 198-208x-208-218x-218x-218x
    B) 4+0+0+2 (switched to regular pull-ups last round), 147 lbs
    C) 200-215-245
